Best Turmeric Supplements of 2026: We Compared 5 for 90 Days to Find the #1 Turmeric Curcumin
After years of hearing that turmeric is good for you, and years of taking capsules that never seemed to do much, we set out to find the best turmeric supplement, the one that actually delivers.

With the market offering dozens of options, we focused on Anchr, Qunol, Sports Research, Gaia Herbs, and Nature Made given their popularity and user reviews.
Turmeric’s active compound, curcumin, has one well documented weakness: on its own, very little of it survives digestion. Studies have found that most of a standard dose passes through the gut without ever reaching the bloodstream.1

That is why so many people take turmeric for months and feel nothing. The problem was never the herb. It was the delivery.
Researchers found that pairing curcumin with piperine, the active compound in black pepper, increased its absorption dramatically, and that curcumin already dissolved in liquid is taken up better than dry powder packed into a capsule.2 So we looked at every product through that lens: how much curcumin it contains, what it is paired with, and what form it comes in.
We tested these supplements over 90 days, rating them on formula, absorption, ease of use, taste, and price. Here are the best turmeric supplements we tested, ranked:
Complete Liver Support Drops (1500mg)
| Rating: | 9.5/10, 1st place |
| Price: | $34.99 (normally $69.00) |

Anchr quickly became the favorite in our test group. It is the only product on this list that comes as a liquid: two droppers a day, held under the tongue or stirred into water or juice, instead of a capsule, with the black pepper extract that curcumin needs for absorption already built into the formula.2
What sets it apart is that it is not a single-ingredient turmeric product. The 1,500 mg liquid extract blend in every 2 mL serving pairs turmeric with milk thistle, dandelion root, chamomile, black pepper, ginger and cayenne, a formula built for liver health and strong joints at the same time.3 Our testers most often reported moving more comfortably in the morning and feeling lighter after heavy meals within the first two weeks, and the taste, warm and earthy with a citrus finish, was the best of the group by a wide margin.6
- Liquid drops, no capsules to swallow
- Black pepper extract included for absorption
- 1,500 mg liquid extract blend per 2 mL serving
- 7 botanicals: turmeric, milk thistle, dandelion, chamomile, black pepper, ginger, cayenne
- Made in the USA in a cGMP facility, third-party tested
- Vegan, alcohol-free, sugar free and gluten free
- Citrus taste, take it straight or stir it into water or juice

Why We Chose Anchr as the Best Turmeric Supplement Overall ↓
After careful consideration and 90 days of testing, we confidently declare Anchr as the best overall choice for turmeric curcumin.

In our search for the most effective turmeric supplement, Anchr stood out as the clear winner. Its liquid delivery with black pepper is the most direct answer to curcumin’s absorption problem that we found. But it is not just about absorption… Anchr pairs turmeric with milk thistle, dandelion, ginger and cayenne, making it a daily formula for liver health and strong joints rather than a single herb in a capsule.

The reason readers keep recommending Anchr is clear. Whether you are trying to keep your joints moving, bouncing back after heavy meals, or you simply hate swallowing capsules, Anchr is designed to fit into a morning routine, providing gentle, daily support.
Experience why Anchr is the top choice in turmeric curcumin, and join the thousands who have found a simpler, better absorbed way to take turmeric.

Qunol Extra Strength Turmeric
| Rating: | 8.2/10, 2nd Place |
| Price: | $29.99 |

Qunol is one of the best known names in the category, and its Extra Strength capsules deliver a solid 1,000 mg of turmeric per two-capsule serving. Qunol uses its own water-dispersible formula to improve absorption, which is a genuine step up from plain turmeric powder.4
Where it loses points is the formula itself: it is turmeric and nothing else. There is no milk thistle, ginger or dandelion alongside it, and the serving is two capsules a day. Several of our testers also mentioned the capsules were on the larger side.
- 1,000 mg turmeric per two-capsule serving
- Proprietary water-dispersible formula
- Widely available at Walmart, Target and Amazon
- Two capsules a day
- Single ingredient, no supporting botanicals
- Capsules on the larger side
Sports Research Turmeric Curcumin C3 Complex
| Rating: | 7.9/10, 3rd Place |
| Price: | $32.95 |

Sports Research uses Curcumin C3 Complex, a well studied curcumin extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids, and pairs it with BioPerine black pepper extract for absorption.2 On paper it is one of the better formulated capsules we tested.
In practice, the softgels are large and carried in coconut oil, which a few of our testers found repeated on them. Like Qunol, it is a curcumin-only product with no liver botanicals, and the label suggests one to two softgels a day, so a bottle may not last as long as the count implies.
- 500 mg Curcumin C3 Complex per softgel
- Includes BioPerine black pepper extract
- Third-party tested, non-GMO
- Large softgels in a coconut oil base
- Single ingredient
- Twice-daily dosing for the full effect
Gaia Herbs Turmeric Supreme Extra Strength
| Rating: | 7.4/10, 4th Place |
| Price: | $29.69 |

Gaia Herbs is the premium pick. Its Turmeric Supreme Extra Strength uses organic turmeric extract in a vegan liquid phyto-cap with a small amount of black pepper, and the brand publishes sourcing details for every batch.5
At $29.69 for 60 capsules taken two a day, it works out to about $0.99 per serving. The trade-off is that it is still a single-herb formula in a capsule rather than a full liver and joint blend.
- Organic turmeric extract
- Includes black pepper
- Vegan capsules, transparent sourcing
- Two capsules a day
- About $0.99 per serving
- Single herb, no supporting botanicals
Nature Made Turmeric Curcumin
| Rating: | 6.6/10, 5th Place |
| Price: | $13.99 |

Nature Made is the budget entry point. At under $14 for a 60-count bottle it is by far the cheapest option in this ranking, and it is sold in nearly every pharmacy in the country.
It is also the weakest formula. The 500 mg capsule is mostly turmeric powder with a low curcuminoid content, there is no black pepper or other absorption aid, and it contains nothing for the liver.1 It is turmeric in its least absorbable form, which is exactly the problem this ranking set out to solve.
- Cheapest option at under $14
- Available at nearly every pharmacy
- Long established, widely trusted brand
- Low curcuminoid content per capsule
- No black pepper or absorption aid
- Single ingredient

I went with Anchr after reading this. It has been about 3 weeks and the heavy feeling after dinner is basically gone. Tastes way better than I expected too.
I took Nature Made for two years and honestly never noticed anything. Switched to the drops last month and my morning walks feel easier. Wish I had known about the black pepper thing sooner.
Ordered the buy 2 get 1 free. I put two droppers in my morning water and forget about it. Easiest supplement I have ever kept up with.
Sports Research was fine but the softgels were huge and I kept tasting coconut all morning. The drops fixed that problem for me completely.
Bought a bottle for my mom, she is 67 and hates pills. She takes it every morning in her orange juice and says she feels lighter after meals. Ordering the 5 pack next.
